MISSION

CTLC is an evangelical cooperative ministry of churches, individuals, businesses, and organizations working together to meet the food and clothing needs of individuals and families in order to introduce them to Christ.

HISTORY

CTLC serves as a central location for the accumulation and distribution of food, clothing and other goods. They help their clients have the access to multiple agencies in the area that meet a variety of needs. CTLC itself provides and atmosphere of spiritual encouragement for those who come for assistance, regardless of the need they may have. Ultimately, CTLC provides opportunities for followers of Jesus minister in Christ’s name.

CTLC began in 1994 with a group of seven churches that decided to begin working together to meet the food and clothing needs for the people in Temple. God blessed the ministry greatly and in 2000, the organization acquired permanent facilities located at 702 West Ave. G in Temple. At the present time, over thirty area churches, numerous businesses, and many service organizations serve all of East Bell County through CTLC.

CTLC serves approximately 300 families per week. And since its inception, CTLC has over 45,000 clients and dependents on file that have received aid of some kind. But God has not used CTLC simply to meet physical needs. Every year, the all-volunteer force of CTLC has thousands of gospel conversations with those who walk through their doors.

HOW TO BE INVOLVED

CTLC has opportunities for people to serve nearly every day of the week. From sorting clothes and groceries, to praying with clients, there is something for everyone.
