MISSION STATEMENT
Foster Love Bell County exists to raise awareness and mobilize the community to care for those in the foster care system.
HISTORY
In the spring of 2010, God began to use the heart and faith of Candace Cartwright in the creation of Foster Love. Even though she had trepidation at first, and though she and her husband were busy with three small children of their own, God made it clear to Candace that he desired for her to be involved with foster care.
Through ups and downs, through no ways and perhaps so, God began to soften the Cartwright’s hearts. In 2015, the Cartwright family added a son to their family, their adopted son. But God wasn’t finished with their journey.
Candace began to ask what more could she do? How could she impact the foster care community? With the idea called,”My Very Own Bag”, God brought about the Cartwright’s first placement who came to them with all his things thrown into a small trash bag. It is from that experience that Foster Love Bell County was born, starting as a Facebook group of like-minded friends and growing to a non-profit ministry by the summer of 2017.
